Class Descriptions

Birth

Preparing for birth is exciting and terrifying because of the unknown. Our goal is to provide you with evidence-based information so you can go into labor feeling more prepared and empowered to improve your birth experience.

This class will discuss:

What is labor? Am I in it?
Understanding The Stages of Labor
Standard hospital birth expectations
Comfort measures and pain management options
I delivered, What now?

Baby

New parents can often feel overwhelmed, uncertain, and sometimes lost when bringing home their new baby.

Instead, we want you to feel ready, prepared, and excited to meet and care for your newborn.

In this interactive, hands-on class you will learn about the care that your baby will receive in the hospital and their first few days of life. Let’s prepare for how you can care for your baby at home.

Topics of safe sleep, swaddling, diapers, and bathing to smooth your transition to parenthood.

Beyond

The 4th trimester (postpartum) is often put on the back burner while we prepare for labor and the excitement of meeting your baby. The transition to postpartum is just as important and equally as difficult.
This class will help you:
Prepare you not only physically but emotionally for when you take your baby home.
Give you tips and tricks to ease the adjustment into your new life.
*We will also discuss what postpartum mood disorders may look like for you and your partner and resources to help.
